to M6 murder

cases in his book, Unsolved Murders In and Around Derby, including that of
student teacher Barbara Mayo who was found raped and strangled in woods at
Ault Hucknall, eight miles north of A popular theory at the time
was that the 24-year-old from Lomax said: "The
Barbara Mayo case was just such a tremendously high profile investigation,
with there never being any significant leads, them never catching the killer,
and it sparking the biggest manhunt the UK had seen at that time." In 1990 police said evidence
confirmed her killer was the same man who raped and murdered Jackie-Ansell
Lamb a few months earlier. Her killer has never been brought to justice.
Lomax said: "Where she [Jackie Ansell-Lamb] was murdered [near the M6]
it was just off a main road where "On the day Barbara
