Jamie Lee Dunn

Jamie Lee Dunn is serving a 26 year sentence for a murder he claims he did not commit.

It is indisputable that Dunn did not shoot dead the victim in this case, Clinton Bailey. However, the prosecution at trial alleged that Dunn had played a crucial role in the crime, conspiring with those who had indeed fired the fatal shots, rendering him equally guilty of the crime of murder.

Dunn and his supporters maintain that this claim is speculative, as it is lacking in evidence, and farfetched. They argue that he played no rule in this tragic case and is the victim of a miscarriage of justice.

Did Jamie Lee Dunn conspire with others to kill Clinton Bailey?

The Criminal Law Act 1977 (CLA 1977) states that in order to show a conspiracy occurred, there must be proof of:-

i. an agreement
ii. which is carried out in accordance with the party's intentions
iii. necessarily amounts to the commission of a crime.

Other than alleged telephone conversations there is no evidence to show that Dunn conspired with anyone in the planning of any part of the incident leading to the death of Clinton Bailey. Questions surround the credibility of the principal witness who claimed that Dunn was involved. It was shown that the female witness was a fantasist capable of, and experienced in, producing wild allegations and claims. Whilst this does not necessarily mean she lied, it does suggest that her words should be subjected to immense scrutiny.

Jamie Lee Dunn is currently in the process of appealing against his conviction. A website has been set up to raise awareness of this case. It is available at:
